🚨 Locksmith Scam Warning – Please Read and Share! 🚨
We were recently contacted by someone upset about a rude woman who answered their call for locksmith service. To be clear — she does not work for C & E Lock & Safe Inc. We do not have any women on staff or answering phones.
What likely happened is they called a scam locksmith site. These sites are run by national call centers that operate under dozens of fake business names. They appear to be local, but they’re not — their websites are designed to show ANY city or state in the U.S. depending on where you search from.
They advertise “$19 service calls” or other too-good-to-be-true prices. Then they send out unlicensed techs who demand hundreds — sometimes even thousands — once the job is done, using high-pressure and intimidation tactics to get paid.
These operations make honest locksmiths like us look bad and take hard-earned money from people in our community. We’ve included screenshots from one of the current scam sites so you can see how convincing they can be on our Facebook page.
🔒 Protect yourself and your wallet:
✔️ Ask for the company name and location
✔️ Avoid any ad quoting under $50
✔️ Only work with licensed, local professionals
