Our roots go back to the early 1970s, and our family ownership—combined with a commitment to honest, local service—has made us a trusted name for keys, locks, door hardware, safes, cameras, and access control.

TIMELINE 

Early 1970s — Beginnings as Barnett’s Locksmith Service
A small, service‑first locksmith shop serving the Fayetteville area.

1980s — The C & E era
The business was purchased by C.L. and Eddie Guinn and became C & E Locksmith Company. In 1986, the company was incorporated and our signature brand evolved into C & E Lock & Safe Inc.

1992 — A family legacy
Ownership transitioned to father and son Johnny and Jeff Upton, continuing the focus on quality work, fair pricing, and community relationships.

2000s–2010s — Growing with our customers
Expanded capabilities in commercial door hardware, safes, and modern key systems; added security cameras and access control services to meet customer demand.

Today — Still local, still accountable
From our shop at 2350 W Wedington Dr, Fayetteville, we serve the entire NWA region with in‑store and mobile service.
